The Final Judgment

[On top of the roof.]

SAKURA: All this time, it was Julian.

[At the shrine.]

KEROBERUS: Be careful, Sakura.
MADISON: I don't understand, Kero. Did Julian know all along that Sakura was collecting the Clow Cards?
KEROBERUS: No, he wasn't aware. Yue's conscious and Julian's earth form were completely separate until the Final Judgement. Julian wasn't aware of his true identity.
MADISON: Why?
KEROBERUS: It was important that the candidates didn't know who he was.
LI: Kero, you didn't awaken until after Sakura broke the seal on the cards, correct? But Julian moved here to Reedington years ago. Is that just a coincedence?
MS. MacKENZIE: No, it isn't. Julian was placed here for a definite reason.
KEROBERUS: Hmm...
MS. MacKENZIE: There are no coincidences, only inevitabilities.

[On top of the roof.]

SAKURA: It's just like my dream.
YUE: I now call upon the second candidate. Before you are the cards you have captured. In order to pass judgement, you must use them to defeat me.
SAKURA: Defeat you? But, Julian... No! I won't!
YUE: Come here.
SAKURA: Jump Card. I will... come...to you...

[At the shrine.]

KEROBERUS: Sakura!

[Sakura lands at the Radio Tower.]

YUE: And now, the final judgement will begin.
SAKURA: No... Not if I have to hurt you. I can't. To me... you're still Julian. Forget it! I won't hurt you!
YUE: You realize you can't defeat me by simply running away.

[At the shrine.]

LI: That's it!
KEROBERUS: No! Don't! If anyone attempts to help, Sakura will lose the Final Judgement instantly!
LI: I can't stand here and watch her get hurt.
KEROBERUS: You must have faith. She is stronger than she seems. She may get through to him yet.

[At the Radio Tower.]

YUE: If you're not going to try, the judgement is already over.
SAKURA: I've got to think of something. I need a Clow Card that will end this, without hurting Julian. (thinking) I've got it! (out loud) Wood!

[At the shrine.]

KEROBERUS: No, not that one!

[At the Radio Tower.]

YUE: Wood is one of the cards controlled by the moon. The rightful candidate would have known that. The judgement is over. The Clow Cards require a stronger master.
SAKURA: So, I lost? What will happen to them?
YUE: Without a master, the cards will be unsealed once again.
SAKURA: Please, let me try again. I can do it!
YUE: That is impossible. It is forbidden for a candidate to take the Final Judgement twice. To insure that this did not happen, Clow Reed declared that anyone who had anything to do with the Clow Cards would forget this chapter in their lives forever.

[At the shrine.]

LI: What's he talking about?
KEROBERUS: If Sakura loses, everyone will forget the events that happened since the day the seal was broken, including the cards. Clow Reed did not want anyone to suffer. The bonds we've all made would be painful to loose, especially for Sakura and the Clow Cards. They care most for the one who sealed them. It will be as if none of this would have existed, for any of you.

[At the Radio Tower.]

SAKURA: (thinking) Everyone will forget. Even me. I won't remember Kero, or the cards. (out loud) I can't! I won't let that happen! Let me go!
YUE: You have a determined spirit, Sakura. However, I'm not as sentimental as Keroberus. The only one I answer to is Clow Reed himself!

[At the shrine.]

LI: No!

[At the Radio Tower.]

SAKURA: Julian, help me. It's no use... we're all going to... forget!

[In Sakura's bedroom, the alarm wakes Sakura up.]

SAKURA: It was all a dream?

[Sakura dresses and goes downstairs where Tori and their dad are eating breakfast.]

SAKURA: Morning!
TORI: Good morning.
MR. AVALON: Breakfast is getting cold.
SAKURA: I'm ready! I'm ready! Smells great!
MR. AVALON: Something wrong?
SAKURA: No! Everything's fine!

[At Reedington Elementary, Sakura and Madison are in front of their lockers.]

MADISON: Good morning.
SAKURA: Good morning, Madison!
MADISON: Come on, Sakura. Class is going to begin soon.
SAKURA: Right!

[Inside the class room.]

LI: Hey, Sakura.
SAKURA: Morning!
LI: What?
SAKURA: Oh! It's nothing!

[At the end of school, outside.]

MADISON: Well, see you tomorrow, Sakura.
SAKURA: Yeah. See ya!

[Walking home, Sakura thinks she hears something, but when reaching Julian's house, there nothing there.]

SAKURA: I thought someone would be here...
MADISON: Sakura!
LI: Sakura!
KERO: Sakura!
MS. MacKENZIE: Sakura!
ALL: Sakura!
SAKURA: The voices... I remember!

[At the Radio Tower, Sakura breaks through the vines, landing on the roof, where Ms. MacKenzie is standing, holding a bell.]

YUE: Impossible!
SAKURA: Ms. MacKenzie!
MS. MacKENZIE: You did it! Welcome back, Sakura!
SAKURA: The bell!
MS. MacKENZIE: Clow Reed left the ancient instrument behind to give you one more chance. It disappeared because it fulfilled it's purpose. You won't be able to begin again.
SAKURA: Right! (to Yue) The Clow Cards brought all of us closer together. I'm not going to let you take that away! Come on! This isn't over yet! Oh, staff of Clow, guide my actions now!
YUE: The cards are returning to her!
MS. MacKENZIE: They've chosen Sakura.
SAKURA: Release!

[Her wand tip changes shape into a star.]

[At the shrine.]

KEROBERUS: The staff. It changed!

[At the Radio Tower.]

SAKURA: Windy! Form a cage to trap Yue! Windy!
YUE: The Windy Card. It could never! What?! It can't be!

[The Windy Card captures Yue and brings him to the tower in front of Sakura.]

SAKURA: I couldn't quit. I would have missed everyone too much, even you. My dad told me that you can keep someone close to your heart as long as you remember. That's why I couldn't let you make us forget. I don't know Clow Reed, but I do know how important friends are. And I'll give it my best shot! I don't want to be your master, Yue. I want to be your friend.
YUE: Close your eyes. Just trust me. The final Judgement is over. I, Yue, recognize Sakura, as the new master.

[Sakura goes into a vision, where she meets Clow Reed.]

SAKURA: You're...
CLOW REED: So we finally meet. I've been watching you closely, Sakura. the cards need a strong master, but they also need someone with a brave heart. That's where your strength lies, Sakura. Keroberus and Yue have chosen well.
SAKURA: You must be Clow Reed. Did you give me the new staff?
CLOW REED: No, you made this one all on your own. Your staff is not run by the power of the sun or the moon, but by your very own star. Take care of your star, Sakura. It may be a tiny light now, but it burns bright, and will always light your way.

[Sakura returns outside the shrine.]

LI: Sakura!
MADISON: Sakura!
SAKURA: I did it!
MADISON: You sure did!

[Sakura grabs Li's hands and spins around, accidently letting go of him, making him fall on his back.]

SAKURA: Sorry, Li.
LI: S'okay.

[On a roof top, Keroberus and Yue were conversing.]

KEROBERUS: This calls for a celebration. Sakura will make an excellent master.
YUE: It's a lot of power, Keroberus. What if she's too young to handle it?
KEROBERUS: We could always stick around in our earthly forms, just in case she needs us.
YUE: You realize, I won't remember anything that happened.
KEROBERUS: I'll fill you in.

[Kero returns to Sakura.]

KERO: Sakura!
SAKURA: Kero! I did it! I passed!

[Nearby, Julian is standing by his bike, looking very confused.]

JULIAN: Hey!
